Guard does not mean never cleaning again

Anyone who tells you gutter guard is permanent maintenance-free is selling you something. What good mesh does is change the job from clearing a packed gutter every few months to brushing accumulated dust off the top of the mesh every couple of years. That is a genuine saving in cost and risk. It is not zero, and we would rather you heard that from us before you spend the money than afterwards.

Ember rating is the reason to do it in the Blue Mountains

In bushfire-prone areas the mesh is doing a different job. Dry leaf litter in a gutter is a primary ignition point during ember attack, and BAL-rated aluminium mesh with the correct aperture is designed to stop embers reaching it. If your address is bushfire-prone — much of Springwood, Winmalee, Faulconbridge, Hazelbrook, Woodford and Lawson is — this is the version worth paying for, and the cheap plastic mesh is not a substitute.

Colour matching and solar

Mesh is matched to your Colorbond roof colour so it reads as part of the roofline rather than a strip of hardware bolted along the front. Where there are solar panels we fit around them and, if you want, install panel skirting to stop birds and debris getting underneath — that gap is the single most common nesting spot on a Sydney roof.

What it costs

Guard is priced per linear metre and depends on the mesh grade, your roof profile and access. Ember-rated aluminium costs more than standard mesh and is worth it in a bushfire-prone area. We quote in writing after checking your roof details.

FAQ

Gutter guard installation questions

No. It means the job changes from clearing packed debris every few months to brushing dust off the mesh every couple of years. Anyone promising zero maintenance is overselling it.

BAL is the Bushfire Attack Level assigned to a property. If your address is in a bushfire-prone area, ember-rated aluminium mesh is the version worth fitting, because dry leaf litter in a gutter is a primary ignition point during ember attack.

Yes. The mesh is selected to your Colorbond colour so it reads as part of the roofline rather than an add-on.

Yes, and we can add panel skirting at the same time. The gap under solar panels is the most common bird-nesting spot on a Sydney roof, and it is far easier to close it while we are already up there.

Overflowing gutters rot fascias, flood ceilings and void insurance claims. A clean costs a fraction of the repair — and we can usually be there this week.
